The former Stuart Crystal Works in Wordsley was converted into a museum of glass in 2015. The site consisted of two elements: the Newhouse Building, located at the entrance to the site, which became the museum and the Mill Building (above) which was converted into commercial units for glass-related businesses, with 18 residential apartments above. As part of our involvement in the museum’s external landscaping development in

2022, we took the opportunity to add a temporary interpretation of the former 10 pot glass furnace which once stood as a centrepiece on the site. It is hoped that the museum will eventually be linked to the Redhouse Glass Cone site, located across the road, via an underground tunnel.
