We completed the first phase of the Standard Works building in the Jewellery Quarter for RMLT to bring it back to life as a specialist education college. The Grade II listed former silversmiths had been sitting empty for 20 years when RMLT took the building under their wing. Standard Works was originally built as 15 separate industrial units and is considered to
be one of the best examples of a 19th Century factory building within the area. As well as educational use, the building also provides a cafe, performance space, exhibition space, and roof garden. Photographs courtesy of The Ruskin Mill Trust
