In 2022 we met with Lichfield Waterworks Trust to discuss a feasibility study on the Sandfields site. Built around 1858 the pumping station and engine house formed part of the original scheme implemented by South Staffs Water and was

the company’s sole source of supply when it opened. The trust were interested in exploring options on how the site could develop over the next 10 years.
